Well I wanted to write a better How-To that would answer many questions that people had from my previous How-To.

I am writing this guide for a novice user, who doesn’t know much about the various commands that went into my previous article.

We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying hardware.

Once I had 10.5.7 installed I managed to upgrade to 10.5.8 using the i Deneb combo update, but had to turn AHCI on to reboot ("still waiting error otherwise). I downloaded the NV GT(X) 2xx Series and installed the enabler Nvidia and ATi. You will need to configure it as Ethernet connection as well (detected as Ethernet). For Sleep Fix run in background and when your computer go to sleep it will turn off Air Port, when wake this app enable the Air Port for you.

This is merely a review for anyone else who is considering installing i Deneb on their Aspire One.

I assume it is similar for the Wind and the other Netbooks that are out on the market.

I'm pretty certain the Dell Minis all have different specs.

If you have the 9.5.0 kernel you will need the from 10.5.5 If you have the 9.6.0 kernel you will need the from 10.5.6" i PC install contains 9.5.0 version, just add it at customize. Select the corresponding kexts for chipset/audio/video/LAN i Deneb 10.5.6. Remember to delete kextcache, repair permissions, and the first reboot using -f. Ralink..plist from ~/user/Library/Preferences, reconnected to WPA/2 (using TKIP) and works good. Sometimes need to replug on boot if using driver.

Fix for 1 CPU issue: download a modified bios, choose file 4Core Dual-SATA2 v2.10 After you flashed the bios, you can simply install it without the need of the cpus=1 One Core fix, and can use both(or more) cores of your cpu ;) Intel E5200 CPU 2.5GHz / FSB 1333 MHz / 4GB DDR2 800 RAM i ATKOS S3 V2 10.6.3 S-ATA: [OOB] /*Out Of the Box*/ Audio: Voodoo HDA 0.2.61 (older version) USB: USB very slow until Apple is deleted Ethernet: Not tested. Video fully working using XFX 8800GT and matching EFI. Sleep, Shutdown, and Reboot: working 100% after moving USB|PS/2 5v. USB ports are not fully functionnal, they won't detect any USB flash drive or hard drives. Problem gone using driver - Provided here Signal strength not as strong as Windows driver.
